Why Ride?

Our mission is to “End the stigma and suffering for lung cancer patients and caregivers, in memory of Kathleen Matthews“.

Last year, I rode my bike from SAP in Newtown Square to The Golden Gate Bridge.  It was a 52-day journey and I had support each and every day.  We raised over $93,000, made lots of friends and will do another ride this year.  Check out the video below on what we are doing and how you can help!

Go to our donation site to learn more, especially about how we honor people impacted by lung cancer each day on our ride.

And you can follow us on Twitter @Ride4Lungs, through this blog and on our Facebook Page.

Tributes

We will ride from August 24 until September 14, and each day we will honor someone who has been impacted by lung cancer, such as patients, survivors, caregivers, doctors, nurses and anyone who wants to change the course of lung cancer.  You can see what we did last year by clicking HERE.

In addition, we will have a tribute every day in November (Lung Cancer Awareness Month) when we will have the Ride Hard Breathe Easy Challenge.

What can you do?

First, post your tribute to either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using Hashtag #RHBETribute so we acknowledge this special person.  Or if easier, send it to us at tribute@rhbe.org.

Secondly, we will ask you at a later time to send detailed information about the tribute including any preference for a specific date. We will do our very best to honor your request.

See below for examples of tributes.
