So Here We are
So here we are in the lobby of The Best Western Plus in Rockville, MD having a beer and sharing some laughs. Andy, Gus, Pete and I have had a great three days ad excited to finish tomorrow in DC.
Today was another “Adventure” as we got another 71 miles closer to The Finish tomorrow. It was supposed to be an easy, flat tide along the bike trail. However, Mother Nature changed our plans a few days ago, roads were out, a bridge was down and roads were flooded. Again.
The Adventure Continues
No worries. Instead of flat and steady we got up and up. And down. Lots of hills and we climbed about 3,000 feet. Not a crushing effort, and one we didn’t expect. We often went off the route and went from town to town using maps on our phone.
We have a short 20 miles to ride tomorrow and I am so excited to get to the finish at Lung Cancer Alliance. We expect to be there at 11:00 (AM) and finish Ride Hard Breathe Easy 2018.
I feel honored to complete the ride with these three people, grateful for the time they gave to help all of us fight lung cancer. Thank you, gents.
And I am excited to finish this ride with Caroline and Kevin from Lung Cancer Alliance, hug my wife and to soon see my son and family again.
Ride Hard Breathe Easy 2018 Day 22 is in the books!
