Windy from Indy!

Beth, Karen and I made our way from Indianapolis to Terre Haute, IN, an 85-mile trek by bike.  Was a pretty tough ride, with about 8 miles through gravel, temperatures hitting the high 80s and winds (in my face?!) that were 15 to 20 MPH.  So took almost 7 hours, and thank god my arse is feeling fiiine.

Beth and Karen did a WONDERFUL job as SAGgers.  And SAG officially, at least for the next few days, stands for Sexy Ass Girls!

During the ride today, I met a man named Gary who was riding with a “cancer” bike shirt.  He too is raising money and supports two organizations, “Spokes of Hope” and “Miles for Myeloma”.  We ended up trading bracelets, and I proudly gave the bracelets for Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation and Lung Cancer Alliance.  You will see the two pictures he gave me in the pictures below.

At night, we finished with a meal at Moggers, a pug with good sandwiches, burgers and beers.  All in all, another productive (and tiring) day.  Heading to Saint Elmo, IL tomorrow and then to Saint Louis!

  2. Love the SAG acronym, we may hire you in marketing.

    As for St. Elmo –
I can see a new horizon underneath the blazing sky
I’ll be where the eagle’s flying higher and higher
Gonna be your man in motion
All I need is a pair of wheels
Take me where the future’s lying St. Elmo’s fire

Seems a perfect anthem for the Day!!!
